Sindh cabinet approves budget of Rs 8 trillion 54 billion

Sindh Cabinet on Friday (today) approved deficit budget of volume 8 trillion 54 billion rupees and country’s premier channel AbbtakK News acquired copy of the budget document.
The Sindh government pre-budget meeting was held in chair of Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah where the deficit budget of volume 8 trillion 54 billion rupees was given approval.
The volume of current year budget is increased 17.5 percent than previous year’s fiscal budget where it is suggested in the budget to increase development budget from one trillion 42 billion rupees to two trillion rupees.
While allocation for district development program has been increased from 20 billion rupees to 25 billion rupees and an amount of 35 billion rupees have been allocated for Thar Coal and power projects.
It is likely that the province get 10 billion rupees from world aid while it is estimated that the Sindh get 12 billion 230 million rupees from federal development program and 5 trillion, 15 billion rupees as a whole from federal government.
It is decided that to increase education budget from 10 billion rupees to 13 billion rupees while health budget raised from 13 billion rupees to 15 billion rupees, home ministry budget increased from one billion to 2 billion rupees and it is suggested to increase irrigation budget 12 billion rupees to 14 billion rupees.
Likewise works and services budget increased from 9 billion rupees to 14 billion rupees and police budget also increase from 60 billion rupees to 70 billion rupees while an amount of 10 billion rupees have been allocated for Karachi.
