KARACHI: The nine members of Sindh assembly have taken the oath by governor Sindh Kamran Tessori in governor house.
The ceremony witnessed the swearing-in of prominent figures, including Sharjeel Enam Memon, Nasir Hussain Shah, Saeed Ghani, Sardar Ali Shah, Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho, Sardar Mohammad Baksh Mahar, Zia Ul Hassan Lanjar, Ali Hassan Zardari, and Jam Khan Shoro.
However, notable reshuffles in portfolios have been observed, indicating a strategic realignment of responsibilities.
Noteworthy changes include Nasir Hussain Shah’s appointment as the Provincial Information Minister, replacing Sharjeel Enam Memon, who is set to take charge of the Ministry of Excise, Taxation, and Transport.
Saeed Ghani will now held the Ministry of Local Government and Public Health, while Ali Hassan Zardari will oversee the Ministry of Prisons.
Moreover, Sardar Mohammad Baksh Mahar is entrusted with the Ministry of Anti-Corruption and Sports, Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho will continue her tenure as the Health Minister, and Syed Sardar Ali Shah will oversee Education and Mineral Resources. Syed Zulfiqar Shah will take charge of the Ministry of Culture, while Jam Khan Shoro is appointed as the Irrigation Minister.
The recent formation of the cabinet follows Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah’s historic re-election for a third consecutive term, securing an overwhelming majority in the provincial assembly.
