KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Saturday took notice of brutal killing of Irshad Ranjhani by chairman of a Union Council (UC) in Karachi.
CM Murad directed Inspector General (IG) Sindh Police Dr Kaleem Imam to appoint senior officer for initiation of inquiry into the incident.
The Chief Minister expressed outrage, saying how can somebody dare what UC chairman Rahim Shah did by publically murdering Irshad Ranjhani.
Murad questioned that nobody among the crowd shifted the wounded person to hospital while how much time police officials took to reach the incident’s site and whether the responsible persons behind the incident were arrested or not.
The Sindh CM also questioned for complainant in registration of the First Investigation Report (FIR) in the cold-blooded murder.
Sindh IGP was directed to submit complete report of the incident.
Slain Irshad Ranjhani was reportedly a political worker belonging to Jeay Sindh Tehreek (JST), who was gunned down by Rahim Shah, the union council chairman of Bhains Colony, a neighbourhood in the Shah Latif Town area in Karachi. However, motives behind the gruesome murder were not yet known.
