Sindh Education Dept Decides To Give Passing Marks To Students Fail In Elective Subjects

Karachi: Sindh Education Department has decided to give passing marks to students who will be failed in the elective subjects.

Provincial minister for Education Saeed Ghani chaired the steering committee of the education department wherein secretary education, secretary colleges, secretary universities including other officials were in attendance.

The huddle discussed dates of examinations of class 9th and 11th and it has been decided that examinations of the 9th class will be held just after the conclusion of matric exams in July while exams of 11th class will be held just after completion of 12th class examinations in the month of August.

It has been decided to take examinations of only elective subjects while the results will be annouced just after 45 days of the examinations.

The steering committee also decided to take practical examinations. While practical examinations of class matric and 12 will be held after theory examinations

All the practical examinations will be held in colleges and schools of the students.

The steering committee meeting also decided to give students passing marks if they fail in the elective subjects while marks of mandatory subjects will be given on the basis of the elective subjects marks.

The examinations of class 1 to 8 will be held in schools and they will decide the dates of the examinations.
