Sindh govt will implement SHC orders on jobs: Home Minister Sindh

Karachi: Home Minister Sindh Zia Lanjar on Monday said that the Sindh government will not challenge the Sindh High Court (SHC) verdict regarding the jobs.

The Home Minister said that they have complete respect for the court decision. They will not file petition regarding reviewing the court verdict.

He said that the Sindh government will implement the court orders adding that they will not approach a court against the court verdict.

The SHC last week had annulled all the jobs hiring under the advertisements of August 2023.

The court had announced the verdict on the Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) petition against the recruitment of more than 54000 people from grade 1 to 15.

The court in its judgement said that no recruitment will be made on basis of walk-in interview.The court ordered the Sindh government to ensure new recruitment as per the laws enacted for the hiring.

Hiring for grade 1 to 4 and 5 to 15 grade will be made on district levels, the court verdict reads.

The MQM-P had challenged the hiring of more than 54,000 under the August 2023 advertisements. The SHC had ordered prohibition order on the MQM-P petition.
