KARACHI: A suspected robber was killed, and his accomplice was arrested after a police encounter near Indus Plaza in the Sahrab Kot area.
The police reported that three armed robbers opened fire at a police patrol when they were signaled to stop for questioning. In response, the police returned fire, resulting in the death of one suspect and the injury of another. The third accomplice managed to flee the scene.
The injured robber, identified as Khayal Muhammad, was apprehended by the police. Authorities recovered weapons, ammunition, and stolen valuables from his possession. Both the deceased and the wounded suspect were transported to the hospital, and an investigation into the incident is underway.
The police are continuing their efforts to locate the third suspect who escaped during the exchange of gunfire.
