The special powers of the Sindh Rangers could not be extended after passage of almost 40 hours and the personnel have been returned back to headquarters.
The issue in extension of special powers of Rangers hanged in balance as the Rangers personnel have restricted its activities and most of the personnel disappeared from the city roads and keep themselves in headquarters that is badly effecting the Karachi operation along with the action against terrorists and criminals has halted and snap checking is also stand still.
Meanwhile Rangers issuing Karachi operation report said that from 2013 to now 533 criminals had been arrested in which 478 had been handed over to police after legal procedure while 55 had released. 127 arrested accused were Afghan citizens and 34 having the relation with banned outfits.
