KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Chief Sirajul Haq on Sunday telephoned Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah and thanked him for withdrawing the condition of age limit for conversion set in the Forced Conversion Bill recently passed by Sindh Assembly.
The JI chief thanked the PPP leadership and CM Sindh for taking into consideration the reservations against the bill.
He hoped that in future the PPP leadership would not take any step repugnant to constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
The JI chief said that they respect every Pakistani irrespective of his/her cast, creed and religion, adding that every citizen of Pakistan deserves equal rights irrespective of their religious affiliations.
He welcomed the Sindh government decision to withdraw the Bill.
