WEB DESK: Six police officers tragically lost their lives in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast near an armored vehicle in the Tank district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday.
The incident occurred in the Gomal area, approximately 25 kilometers from Kot Wali. Those who perished in the attack include SHO Ismail, ASI Sher Alam, Shafi, Hazrat Ali, Ihsanullah, and the vehicle’s driver, Majid.
Rescue 1122 teams promptly arrived at the scene, working to transfer the injured and the deceased to a nearby hospital for immediate medical attention and further procedures.
In response to the attack, security forces swiftly sealed off the targeted area while initiating a search operation aimed at apprehending those responsible for this act of terror.
In another tragic event in Orakzai, an attack on Aman Lashkar resulted in the deaths of two individuals and left three others wounded. The assault occurred in the Yakho Kandao area, where a counterattack led to the reported deaths of three militants.
