Six more int’l passengers test positive for COVID-19

KARACHI: Pakistan has witnessed an increase in the COVID-19 cases among passengers coming from foreign countries as six more Travellers were tested positive at Karachi airport.

The health department confirmed that six passengers who arrived in Karachi from Dubai have tested positive for COVID-19. The officials detailed that three COVID-positive international passengers were aged above 60 years while others are between the age range of 35-41.

According to the Sindh Health Department, the 6 passengers who arrived in Karachi from abroad have tested positive for the Corona Rapid Antigen test, including a 50-year-old resident of Mangurah Swat, a 27-year-old resident of Mirpur mathilo, a 68-year-old resident of Jacobabad,  A 22-year-old resident Mangurah Swat, a 40-year-old resident of Rahim Yar Khan, a 22-year-old resident of Charsadda who had reached Karachi from Riyadh are included. 

The Sindh Health Department has said that the affected passengers were tested for possible symptoms of Covid-19So far, rapid antigen tests of 15 passengers who arrived at Karachi Airport from abroad have come positive, out of which PCR tests of 11 passengers have come out positive while the results of 4 are yet to come
