WEB DESK: Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana and music composer Palash Muchhal have officially ended their relationship, adding a fresh layer of intrigue to their story. Following the confirmation that their wedding had been called off, the two have now unfollowed each other on Instagram.
Photos of the couple that once filled their profiles also seem to have been taken down. However, one old post from two years ago still remains on Smriti’s account—a birthday message where she captioned, “Happy Birthday to the purest soul. Have a great year ahead @palash_muchhal.”

On Sunday, December 7, Smriti addressed weeks of speculation with a formal statement on Instagram. She confirmed the cancellation of their wedding and requested privacy during this time.
Shortly after her announcement, Palash shared his own statement, saying, “I have decided to move on in my life and step back from my personal relationship.”
The wedding, initially set for November 23, 2025, in Sangli, was abruptly postponed due to unforeseen circumstances, including a medical emergency involving Smriti’s father, Shriniwas Mandhana. Later that day, Palash himself was hospitalized.
In the aftermath, both families withdrew from the public eye. Smriti deleted all wedding-related posts from her account, including the much-discussed proposal video shot at DY Patil Stadium. Similarly, Palash removed several posts, including the proposal footage and photos from the World Cup featuring Smriti.
