WEB DESK: Social media influencer Romaisa Khan responded sharply to Vivek Oberoi’s father Suresh Oberoi, after he made comments targeting Pakistani actors.
Romaisa Khan fired back, stating, “The one whose son is himself banned from Bollywood is speaking against Pakistani actors,” implying that Oberoi’s criticisms are hypocritical given his own family’s history with the Indian film industry.
The controversy escalated as actress Zhalay Sarhadi joined the conversation, questioning the tone of the debate: “Oh my God, are these people still spreading hatred?”
Adding fuel to the fire, a social media user referenced Vivek Oberoi’s popular song, “Tere Liye,” noting that it was sung by Atif Aslam, a Pakistani singer.
Another user wrote, “India, please keep your mouth shut, you can’t spend a day without Pakistan,” while another user pointed out that “Vivek Oberoi himself is living in Dubai, which is a Muslim country.”
Another user made a provocative statement, claiming, “No Pakistani wants to go to India because it is the dirtiest place in the world,” reflecting underlying frustrations and sentiments in some sections of social media discourse.
