Kolkata: In the second semi-final of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 South Africa set a target of 213 runs to Australia

In the second semi-final of the World Cup being played at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, South African team captain Timba Bavuma won the toss and decided to bat first against Australia.  Quinton de Kock and captain Tamba Bavuma opened the innings on behalf of South Africa, but Bavuma got out for no runs in the first over of Mitchell Starc, after which opening batsman Quinton de Kock 3, Aiden Markram 10 runs and then Rossi. Van Der Dosen was caught out by Hazlewood for 6 runs.

David Miller scored a brilliant century while batting responsibly and he also returned to the pavilion after playing an innings of 101 runs in the final overs. Apart from this, Coetzee was dismissed for 19, Maharaj for 4 and Rabada for 10

David Miller played an innings of 101 runs after 4 players were dismissed for 24 runs, but the entire South African team was bowled out for 212 runs in the last over. It is clear that there is a 50% chance of heavy rain in Kolkata on Thursday, however, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has kept a reserve day in case the match is affected due to rain in this semi-final. 

According to International Cricket Council( ICC), if the semi-final is postponed or not held on Thursday, then the game will be started from there on Friday, November 17In the semi-final match against Australia, 4 South African players were dismissed for 24 runs, however, due to rain, the match was stopped for some time, but then the game started again. 

The entire South African team got out after scoring 212 runs in 49.4 overs.

 For Australia, Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins took 3, 3 wickets, Hazlewood and Travis Head took 2, 2 wickets.
