ISLAMABAD: The Speaker of the National Assembly has initiated contacts with the members on the issue of no-confidence motion of the opposition against the Prime Minister.
Sources said that the Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser has started contacting the members of the National Assembly. Chief Wahap Amir Dogar also mobilized to support the Speaker.
Federal Ministers Pervez Khattak, Noor-ul-Haq Qadri, Ali Muhammad Khan and Shehryar Afridi have called on the Speaker of the National Assembly. Qaiser took the members of the assembly into confidence.
According to sources, PTI National Assembly member Noor Alam Khan, who had reservations on the floor, did not attend today’s meeting. He will also meet the members of Sindh and Balochistan one by one.
Following the directives of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the Speaker of the National Assembly has been in constant touch with the members for the last one week.
