Islamabad: Speaker National Assembly (NA) Ayaz Sadiq has ordered Inspector General of Police (IG) Islamabad to immediately release member of parliaments arrested on yesterday.
The speaker also reprimanded the IG over incident occurred on yesterday.
He said to the IG arrest who ever you wants out side the parliament but you are not allowed to take parliamentarians in to your custody from the National Assembly.
He ordered the IG to release the MNAs arrested within the NA while issued production orders for those MNAs who were arrested out side the NA.
Development comes after the speaker held meeting of treasury and opposition members on the issue. After the meeting the Speaker called the IG into the parliament.
