Islamabad: The visit of Pakistan’s parliamentary delegation headed by Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser to Afghanistan has been postponed.
This comes in the wake of closure of Kabul International Airport due to security reasons.

According to details, a nine-member Pakistani delegation headed by Speaker National Assembly (NA) Asad Qaiser left for Afghanistan as the plane reached Kabul airport then it was not given permission to land.
The Afghan government refused to allow the Pakistani delegation to land on its soil expressing best wishes.
Speaker's visit to Kabul postponed as airport was closed due to security threat. The plane was about to descent when the control tower informed of the closure of airport. New dates for the visit will be decided after mutual consultations.

Sources said that reason behind the Afghan government refusal is that the Afghan parliament had not taken advance permission for the visit.
Pakistan special representatives for Afghanistan Muhmmad Sadiq has said in a tweet that the visit of Speaker NA Asad Qaiser has bee postponed.
The new dates of the visit will be decided after mutual consultation.
