Lahore: Speaker Punjab Assembly (PA) Chaudhry Pervez Elahi on Wednesday (today) with drew powers of Deputy Speaker Dost Muhammad Mazari.
A notification of taking back powers from the PA Deputy Speaker has also been issued.
As per the notification, the Speaker has withdrawn the powers of Deputy Speaker under the article 235 of the PA.
It is clarified in the notification that the powers have been withdrawn on the instructions of the Speaker PA.
The coply of the notification has been sent to respective institutions.
According to spokesperson of the PA the deputy speaker can’t call the assembly sessions after withdrawal of his powers.
