Islamabad: A special Polio campaign of varied duration begins in 124 districts of the country today (Monday).
During the drive, Polio teams will administer vaccine drops to over 33 million children under five years age to protect them from Polio disease.
The Health department of all provinces has appealed the parents to get their children vaccinated against polio virus.
Pakistan has only reported a single polio case in the country during the nearly six months of 2021 informed SAPM on Political Communication Dr. Shahbaz Gill.

Taking to Twitter, Dr. Shahbaz Gill said that owing to the efforts of the incumbent government, one case of polio virus has been reported in the country this year.
He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan would launch an immunization campaign in Islamabad today by administering polio drops to children. “The prime minister will also head a meeting of National Taskforce on Polio Eradication,” he said.
