Islamabad: Talking against former Chief Justice Saqib Nisar cost the league leaders dearly as contempt of the court petition has been filed in the Islamabad High Court (IHC).
Lady advocate Kulsoom Khaliq has filed the petition in the IHC.
In her petition she viewed that former premier Shahid Khaqan Abbassi in his statement ” If Nawaz Sharif can be sent to jail why not Saqib Nisar be sent to jail.”
She said that Shahid Khaqan Abbassi and Maryam Nawaz have committed contempt of court through their statements.
The petition argued that efforts have been made to scandalize the judiciary by talking against the former chief justice Saqib Nisar.
