Karachi: An accountability court of Karachi ordered the NAB to present co-accused Waqar Shah in the corruption reference of Sindh Tourism Cooperation against Roshan Ali Qanasro and others.
Former MD of Sindh Tourism Board Rsohan Qanasro and other accused appeared before the court while accused Abdul Fatah and Abdul Majeed Soomro could not be appeared. Their counsel informed the court that their client are outside the city and they can’t appear the court today and requested to give them exemption from the appearance for today. The court approved exemption from the appearance of the both the accused.
The anti-graft body presented its report regarding co- accused in the case Waqar Ali Shah adding that the action against the accused is continued on which the court ordered the NAB to present the accused on the next hearing.
According to the NAB the accused were given task to promote culture in the province while during the task the accused inflicted a loss of 48.5 million rupees to national exchequer.
The court adjourned the hearing till January 20 and ordered to ensure presence of all the accused on the next hearing.
