WEB DESK: U.S. President Donald Trump stated that efforts are underway to normalize relations with the new Syrian government and that sanctions on Syria have been lifted as part of a new beginning.
During his visit to Saudi Arabia, U.S President stated that, if a deal is not reached with Iran, strict economic sanctions will be imposed on Iran.
He further expressed his desire to end proxy wars between countries and to negotiate an agreement with Iran.
On the other hand, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman praised President Trump’s decision to lift sanctions on Syria, calling it commendable.
He also stated that, he is eager to work with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and the United States to reduce regional tensions. Additionally, Saudi Arabia is prepared to continue efforts to resolve the Ukraine crisis.
It should be noted that, U.S and Iran held a fourth round of negotiations Sunday over Tehran’s rapidly advancing nuclear program.
