Lahore (September 17, 2017): Strict security measures have been taken to avoid any untoward incident during by-elections in the constituency NA-120.
Polling will begin in the constituency at 8 am. A total of 220 polling stations and 573 polling booths have been formed for the by-poll. All the polling stations are declared sensitive. According to the Election Commission of Pakistan there are 321,786 registered voters in the constituency.

4000 police personnel will be deployed for the security of the polling stations accompanied with dolphin and Pero force personnel for the patrolling.
The transfer of required material to the polling stations started on Saturday and ballot papers were sent to polling stations under the supervision of the Army. Army personnel will guard polling stations throughout Saturday night.

Presiding officers were also given ballot papers and other relevant material on Saturday. Strict action will be taken against violation of code of conduct set by the election commission.
The seat fell vacant after the Supreme Court Disqualified Nawaz Sharif.
