ISLAMABAD: Severe tremors of an earthquake have been felt across various cities, including the federal capital Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Peshawar.
Additionally, residents in Azad Kashmir’s Muzaffarabad and Bimber also experienced the shaking. The city of Murree was also affected by the tremors.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, earthquake shocks were felt in Dera Bal and Dera City, as well as in Peshawar and surrounding areas. The districts of Bajaur and neighboring regions also reported feeling the quake.
According to the Seismic Center, the earthquake measured 5.3 on the Richter scale. The epicenter was located in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan, with a depth of approximately 234 kilometers.
The tremors caused widespread panic among residents, who recited the Kalima and rushed out of their homes in fear.
