Students announce non-cooperation movement in Bangladesh from today, govt ban social media sites

Dhaka: The organizers of Anti-discriminatory Student Movement have announced to launch a countrywide non-cooperation movement from today.

Protest demonstrations will also start across the country today.

The students are pressing for a nine point demand that includes an apology from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, and resignations of several ministers including Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan.

As many as 200 people were killed across the country in students protest against job quota which was eventually accepted by the government.

Besides that the government has banned social media sites in the country according to the foreign news agency the government of Bangladesh has imposed countrywide ban on Whatsapp, Instagram, you-tube and Tik Tok.
