ISLAMABAD: A suicide bombing near Islamabad’s Judicial Complex resulted in the deaths of at least 14 people and left over 28 injured.
The explosion took place at approximately 12:30 pm on Tuesday, originating from a vehicle parked in close proximity to the Judicial Complex. The blast was intense enough to be heard over a wide area, causing the vehicle to ignite and engulf nearby cars in flames.
Authorities reported that the court area was heavily crowded at the time of the incident, which contributed to the high number of casualties. Emergency responders transferred the injured individuals to PIMS Hospital for immediate medical care.
In the aftermath, police secured the location and commenced an investigation to ascertain the specifics surrounding the blast.
