Karachi: Supply of fuel to Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) restored on Monday after settling of matters with Pakistan State Oil (PSO).
The national carrier is going to start its local flights operation from today.After getting required fuel the flights operation of PTI has come to normal.
Earlier, the talks between Pakistan International Airline (PIA) and Pakistan State Oil (PSO) managements on fuel crisis have borne fruit as negotiations succeed.
Sources said that the PSO has agreed to increase petrol on credit from Rs 100 million to 500 million.
Sources said that PIA management wanted to bring normalcy in international flight schedule for Istanbul and Toronto. After which local flights schedules will be normal gradually.
Spokesman of the government carrier confirming that normalcy will bring back in the effected schedules of PIA owing to fuel crisis.
He added that hiups of PSO cooperated in resolving the matter.
It is permanent to know that the PSO had stopped supply of petrol to the PIA on non-payment of its dues. Owing to which the PIA had canceled its hundreds of its flights.
