ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar has reaffirmed the government’s dedication to closely monitoring the supply and regulating sugar prices across the nation, aiming to maintain market stability and ensure affordability for consumers.
He made this commitment while presiding over a meeting in Islamabad on Friday, where he addressed the ongoing sugar situation in the country.
During the meeting, Senator Dar reviewed the progress on the implementation of agreements made by relevant committees and expressed satisfaction with the recent decline in sugar prices.
The Deputy Prime Minister directed the Pakistan Sugar Mills Association to ensure full adherence to the agreement, ensuring that retail sugar prices remain at or below 164 rupees per kilogram nationwide.
