Sushma Swaraj Should Talk About Her Country’s Minorities First: Fawad

LAHORE: Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry has said that Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Sooraj should talk of minorities from her own country first where hundreds of Muslims were killed in the Gujrat riots.

Addressing a presser in Lahore the Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry said that the federal government has taken a notice of a video which has been circulating on social media for two days adding that Punjab police is closer to arrest the people responsible for the said incident and they will be arrested.

The federal Minister informed that the girls were transferred to Rahim Yar Khan after abduction from Sindh and later they were shifted to Gujranwala adding that PM Imran Khan has ordered an investigation into the abduction of the girls.

Fawad Chaudhry said that the PTI-led government stood with minorities of its country while people of all caste, creed and religion enjoyed equal rights in the PTI-led new Pakistan.

The minister said that Indian Foreign Minister responded with the message the act can occur anywhere when she expressed apprehension over the incident adding that an incident happened in New Zealand where the whole of the world saw how the government of that country stood with the Muslims.

He said that the government stood with the family of the girls and ensured that the government would fulfill its responsibility coming on its shoulder over the incident occurred in Sindh.

Reminding Indian foreign minister about the Gujrat Riots he said what happened in Gujrat the whole of the world witnessed where hundreds of Muslims were martyred and now recently Muslim youth tortured over playing cricket on the occasion of Holi in Gurgoun.

He said that it is welcoming that the Indian foreign minister pointing our focus towards the issue but said that it would be better if she started caring minorities of her countries first as charity begins from home.
