KARACHI: The police on Tuesday arrested a man who tried to sexually assault a veiled woman in the Gulistan-e-Johar area of Karachi, Karachi East SSP Zubair Shaikh said.
The police has also taken into custody a motorcycle believed to be the one the man was using at the time of the ghastly incident.
A day earlier, the police also released a sketch of the accused who harassed the girl.
Shaikh said the suspect resembles the accused seen in the viral closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage circulating on social media.
In a viral video, a man can be seen waiting for a veiled girl on his motorbike and when she crossed him, the suspect removed his shorts and attempted to rape a girl.
However, the brave girl foiled the heinous attempt, forcing the culprit to flee the scene.
