Karachi: Syed Murad Ali Shah has elected Chief Minister Punjab for the third time as he got 112 votes in the polling for the CM elections.
The CM Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah rival candidate Ali Khursheedi of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) secured 36 votes.
Syed Murad Ali Shah elected on the coveted post of the CM for consecutive third term.
As many as total 148 vote caste in the polling for the CM elections. He is elected as 25th Chief Minister of SIndh.
Speaker Sindh assembly Syed Owais Qadir Shah presidet the session. While Nadir Magsi took oath of office today as he was absent yesterday.Nadir Magsi took oath in Sindhi language while the Speaker administered the oath from him.
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) nominated Syed Murad Ali Shah for the CM post while the MQM-P fielded Ali Khursheedi on the slot.
Yesterday the SA speaker Syed Owais Qadir Shah and Deputy Speaker Anthony Naveed Sindh Assembly elected by securing 111 votes each. While the MQM-P candidates on Speaker and Deputy speaker got 36 votes.
The MQM-P had nominated Sofia Shah and Rashid Khan on the post of speaker and deputy speaker posts respectively.
