Karachi: The Muttahida Quami Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) stalwart and member of National Assembly (NA) from Karachi on Tuesday announced to install barriers for the protection of the streets in Karachi.
Talking to media outside the Sindh High Court (SHC) ex-mayor Syed Mustafa Kamal said that we demand the state if you can’t stop of killing of innocent people then give people licence of keeping the arms then we will not complain to you.
He said that on the name of quota system Karachi students can’t get admission and if anyone educates himself he or she doesn’t get the job on the name of the quota system.
He went on to say that 40 percent quota for Karachi are also snatched and given to others.
He said that parents of the city throwing arms in front of the cruel system instead taught their children in the private institutions and when they stood on their feet then anyone carrying arms shot the educated youth in broad daylight snatching their mobile and motorcycle run away from the scene.
The streets crimes are common in whole part of the country but in Karachi these are not a normal crimes but it is our genocide, he said.
He said that 71 educated youth in a hiatus of three to four months are martyred adding we don’t have any courage to get their parents patience, what we told to the parents of these youth that not only a young man died but whole of family destroyed.
We are giving message to the high powers of the country, government, state, security agencies including all the elites to shut this atrocity on us.
He said that this a national tragic occurrence adding that when a few peopole rights effect then the judiciary takes suo motu notice but through Karachi whole of Pakistan is getting destroyed.
How many more people will loss their lives adding that the high powers of the country will see it as a national tragic occurrence instead of normal incidents.
He said that according to the police record these criminals were arrested sometimes and they were released on the bails adding that this whole gang is working in an organized way.
He said that if 100 people are on bail then their guarantors are only 10 people who after their release again are committing the crimes.
He questioned why do the state not arrest these 10 people.
He said that the Law Enforcement agencies (LEAs) who claimed that peace has been established in the city, arms have been ended, he said that he wants to ask question to those LEAs where is the peace adding everyone is roaming around in the city with carrying guns.
He said that we didn’t die owing to the quota system, not getting education and employment but those who have remained now selectively are being killed.
He demands the state to stop this city from a genocide while he said that we have come to conclusion that we can’t tolerate this atrocity any more and take measure to save the life of our youth.
We are going to install barriers in joining with mehala committees in the areas around Karachi.
He further added that we demand the state if you people are not able to stop killings of innocents then give Karachiites licence to keep arms and they be given right to self defence.
He said that give everyone permission to keep arms then we will not complain.
