Tareen Visits Faisalabad To Contact Independent Candidates

Faisalabad (July 27, 2018): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Leader Jahangir Khan Tareen along with Aleem Khan arrived in Faisalabad to contact the independent candidates.

PTI has expedited its efforts to form the government in Punjab. During the visit, they met with elected candidates of PP-97, PP-106 and NA-101 and offered them to join PTI, said sources.

Earlier, independent candidates have taken centre stage as Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf started to contact them for the alliance to form the government in Punjab.

PTI gained the majority of seats in the general polls in the upper house, National Assembly, while In Punjab Assembly, Khan’s party gained 117 seats.

PML-N is still majority party in Punjab assembly with 127 seats.

Independent candidates who had secured 27 seats of the Punjab Assembly so far become the centre of the attention for the formation of government.

PTI Leading With 110 Seats In National Assembly: ECP

Election Commission of Pakistan has released results of 251 constituencies of NA, Punjab,s 289, Sindh’s 118, KP’s 95 and Balochistan’ 45 constituencies so far.According to the details released by ECP, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is leading in National Assembly with 110 seats, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, 62, Pakistan Peoples Party, 42, Independent Candidates 12, Muthaida Majlis-e-Amal, 11, Pakistan Muslim League-Q, 02, Muthaida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan, 2, Grand Democratic Alliance, 2 and Awami Muslim League, Awami National Party, Balochistan National Party and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaniat secured one seat each.In Punjab Assembly, PML-N secured 127 seats, while PTI is following with 117 seats. Meanwhile, independent candidates secured 27 seats of the Punjab Assembly.In Sindh Assembly, Pakistan Peoples Party(PPP) is leading with 72 seats, PTI, 20, MQM, 12 and GDA secured 11 seats.In KP Assembly, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf is leading with 66 seats, MMA, 10, ANP, 6 and PML-N managed to bag 5 seats.In Balochistan Assembly, Balochistan Awami Party(BAP) secured 13 seats, MMA, 8 and Balochistan National Party (BNP) managed to get 5 seats.
