WEB DESK: Tauseeq Haider, a well-established Pakistani television announcer, host, and actor, gained enduring fame during the early 1990s through his live morning shows on PTV. Expanding his repertoire, he recently ventured into acting, debuting in a Turkish series alongside Atiqa Odho. Over time, he has won appreciation for his roles in dramas such as Burns Road Kay Romeo Juliet, Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum, Jafaa, and Behroopia, among others. He also remains active and engaged with his followers on social media.
Recently, Tauseeq shared a Shah Rukh Khan–inspired photoshoot from a mustard field. The pictures were accompanied by the instrumental version of the iconic Bollywood song Tujhe Dekha To Yeh Jana Sanam from the film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ). His homage follows a similar SRK-inspired reel shared by internet personality Ken Doll, which had earlier sparked discussions online.
However, Tauseeq’s tribute to the Bollywood legend didn’t sit well with everyone, leading to a wave of trolling on social media. Some users mocked both the shoot and its concept. One remarked on the song lyrics, saying, “There’s no point in dying in your arms now, so just let it go.” Another commented, “There’s only one Shah Rukh Khan—not in Pakistan or anywhere else can he be matched. This isn’t for you.” Yet another joked, “Find your Simran quickly, Mr. Raaj, before time runs out for serenading altogether.”
