Balochistan govt introduces a People’s Air Ambulance service.

QUETTA: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP)-led government in Balochistan has introduced a new People’s Air Ambulance service aimed at providing emergency medical transport across the province.

The service was formally inaugurated by PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, according to reports.

Officials said the air ambulance facility is designed to deliver rapid medical response and help shift critically ill patients from remote and hard-to-reach areas of Balochistan to major hospitals without delay.

Equipped with modern life-saving medical technology, the aircraft includes oxygen support systems, patient monitoring devices, and other essential emergency equipment. A special incubator has also been installed to safely transport newborn babies in critical condition.

Earlier in the day, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari arrived in Quetta for a one-day visit, where he was received by Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti at the airport. Senior provincial officials, including ministers, the Inspector General of Police Muhammad Tahir, and the Deputy Commissioner Quetta, were also present on the occasion.
