WEB DESK: The road comes out from inside the house. A unique building in Japan that you won’t believe your eyes.
Among the modern and developed countries of the world, Japan is famous all over the world for its modern inventions and unique constructions, the city of Osaka in Japan is also known for its unique and modern buildings and there is also a building from which the highway passes
The beautiful Osaka City Gate Tower was completed in 1992. A masterpiece of modern construction, this building has 16 floors and is about 71 meters high. The unique feature of this building is that a road runs through its fifth, sixth and seventh floors, making this building a famous historical landmark.
Originally, the building was not designed to carry a highway, but the road was created as a result of a compromise between the Japanese government and the owner of the building.
The Gate Tower Building holds the distinction of being the first building to accommodate a highway within its premises. Despite thousands of vehicles passing through here every day, there is no noise and vibration in the building.
The landowner ran a wood and coal processing company and applied for a new building permit when development began in the area. The permit was denied because the Hein-Shen Expressway was in the final stages of construction around the same land.
The battle between the landowner and the Japanese government continued for 5 years as the landowner was unwilling to vacate the land and the government was adamant about building a road through it.
This resulted in a surprising agreement between the two and both agreed on their respective positions and a building was constructed along the road. Road rent from 5th to 1st floor of the building is also paid to the owner of the building.
