Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has asked for a plan for the upgradation of the great thinker and poet of the East, Allama Muhammad Iqbal’s shrine.
Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi directed immediate measures for the restoration and improvement of Mazar Iqbal and said that the shrine of a great personality like Allama Muhammad Iqbal should also be worthy. He directed to replace the dilapidated marble and ordered to restore the interior of the walls and ceiling of Mazar-e-Iqbal to its original condition.
Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that the exterior of the Badshahi Masjid should also be restored to its original condition, he Ordered to make the place attractive for tourists, especially tourists from abroad. Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi directed the DG Walled City of Lahore Authority to restore the exterior part on a priority basis in the ongoing project of restoration of Badshahi Masjid.
