Torkham: A border crossing at between Pakistan and Afghanistan has been closed for three days after exchange of firing between two countries over a construction of check post in a prohibited area.
Thousands of goods carrier vehicles have stuck owing to the closure of the border crossing while pedestrians are also not being allowed to cross the road.
Pakistani officials have stopped good carrier trucks and other vehicles owing security fears at Landi Kotal.
On closing of the border crossing goods carrier owners expressing their concerns said that both the countries are on loss due to suspension of business and trade activities.
The owners said that both the countries have to hold talks to solve the matter peacefully.
On construction of a check post in a prohibited area by the Afghan forces, intense firing exchanged with Pakistan had happened three days ago.
