MUMBAI: Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff escaped unhurt after unidentified motorcycle-borne assailants allegedly opened fire at his BMW car in Mumbai’s Juhu area on October 18.
According to initial reports, the incident occurred as the actor was leaving a football ground. The attackers reportedly fired multiple rounds at his vehicle before fleeing the scene.
Shroff remained safe, while his driver sustained a hand injury and was taken to Nanavati Hospital. He was later reported to be out of danger.
Following the incident, Mumbai Police cordoned off the area and launched an investigation. Police teams, including forensic personnel, were deployed to collect evidence and identify the suspects. Authorities reportedly formed 12 teams to investigate the case.
Meanwhile, individuals claiming links to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang reportedly took responsibility for the attack through social media posts. However, police are verifying the authenticity of these claims and investigating possible motives, including an extortion angle.
The incident has raised fresh concerns over the security of Bollywood celebrities, as investigators continue efforts to trace the attackers and establish the circumstances surrounding the firing.
