GHOTKI: TikTok star Sumeera Rajput was discovered dead at her residence in the Bago Wah area, police confirmed on Friday.
District Police Officer Anwar Shaikh reported that the 15-year-old daughter of Rajput claimed her mother had been poisoned by individuals who had been forcing her into marriage. Rajput’s daughter, who had amassed over 58,000 followers and one million likes on TikTok, stated that the suspects administered her mother toxic tablets, which resulted in her death.
The body was transported to a nearby hospital for a post-mortem. Dr. Sarwanand, the Medical Superintendent, indicated that the initial examination showed no signs of physical assault, but samples have been sent to a laboratory for detailed analysis to determine the exact cause of death.
Authorities have detained two people based on suspicions, and investigations are underway. However, no formal FIR has yet been filed. The police expressed that the motive behind the presumed murder remains unclear, and they are exploring multiple angles to uncover whether foul play was involved.
