Lahore (November 28, 2017): Protest sit-in at Lahore busiest The Mall by a faction of Tahreek-e-Labbayik Ya Rasool-ul-Lah (TLY) continues despite the TLY’s agreement with the government to end the Faizabad and other protest across the country.
Though TLY ended Faizabad sit-in and protest across the country after the agreement with the government, a faction of the party in Lahore refused to abide by their agreement and demanded resignation of Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah.
The group is continuing with its protest at Lahore’s The Mall. The group says that they would continue their protest until Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah resigned.
The TLY faction is led by Asif Jalali.
On the other hands, Law Minister Rana Sanaullah said that after agreement with TLY chief Khadim Rizvi they had agreed to end protest cross country. He added that they should also end Lahore sit-in as government implemented the agreement.
He added that had the agreement with TLY called for his resignation he would have also resigned. But the agreement did not require him to resign, he added.
