Tragic train, Bus collision in Thailand kills 8, vdeo of the incident emerges

BANGKOK: At least 8 people were killed and 32 others injured in a devastating collision between a freight train and a bus in the capital city, Bangkok.

Authorities reported that the incident occurred on Saturday when the train struck the bus at a railway crossing, causing the bus to catch fire. Emergency firefighters and rescue teams were dispatched immediately to the scene. The accident also impacted nearby vehicles, including cars and motorcycles.

According to Thailand’s Deputy Transport Minister, initial reports suggest that the bus was stationary on the railway track due to a red signal, which prevented the crossing barriers from closing. During this time, the freight train, carrying containers, failed to stop in time and collided with the bus.

All eight fatalities were passengers inside the bus. The injured have been transported to various hospitals for treatment.

Videos circulating on social media show the train colliding with the bus and pulling nearby vehicles onto the tracks. The footage captures the chaos and destruction caused by the collision.
