LOS ANGELES: Morbius is the latest entry in Sony’s Spider-Man universe, and it will center around the titular living vampire played by Jared Leto.
The film will follow the story of Dr. Michael Morbius, a scientist who is trying to find a cure for a rare blood disease, but upon doing so, turns himself into a vampire instead. Alongside the film’s exact plot details, Morbius’ place in the vast Multiverse is still unknown, leading fans to speculate if the film is set in the MCU or the universe where Tom Hardy’s Venom resides.
After experiencing multiple delays, mostly due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Morbius finally landed an April 2022 release timeline. This means that marketing is poised to ramp up, and new evidence indicates that the promotional push is about to start.
