RAWALPINDI: Sri Lanka have set a 129-run target for Pakistan in the ongoing Tri-Nation T20 Series match being played in Rawalpindi.
After winning the toss, Sri Lanka opted to bat first. The Sri Lankan side managed to score 128 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
For Sri Lanka, Janith Liyanage top-scored with an unbeaten 41 runs, while Kusal Perera contributed 25 and Kamindu Mendis added 22 runs.
From Pakistan’s bowling unit, Mohammad Nawaz claimed three wickets. Salman Mirza, Faheem Ashraf, and Abrar Ahmed picked up one wicket each.
Earlier in the tournament, Sri Lanka suffered a 67-run defeat at the hands of Zimbabwe, while Pakistan won their opening match against Zimbabwe by five wickets.
