Trump Changes Tone towards North Korea

Seoul (November 8, 2017): Asking Russia and China to do more to confront North Korea, US President Donald Trump also promised North Korea a “brighter path” if it abandoned its nuclear weapons program.

Addressing South Korean National Assembly Trump threatened and cajoled North Korea saying, “do not try us,” and also offered the a nuclear-armed North Korea, “The nuclear nightmare replaced with the beautiful promise of peace.”

Trump’s promise of peace to North Korea came with his demands of “complete, verifiable and total denuclearization” and an end to serial missile tests from North Korea.

Saying that US would stand “strong and alert” Trump asked Moscow, Beijing and other countries to do more to help keep North Korea in check. “It is our responsibility to confront this danger together,” Trump said. “Because the longer we wait, the greater the danger grows.”

However Trump’s call to Russia and China came with an implicit warning to the two countries: “To those nations that choose to ignore this threat or, worse still, to enable it, the weight of this crisis is on your conscience.”
