Trump commends Pakistan’s cooperation against terrorism in Afghanistan

WASHINGTON: U.S. President Donald Trump thanked Pakistan for its help in capturing the terrorist involved in the Kabul airport bombing.

In his address to the U.S. Congress, President Donald Trump expressed his gratitude to Pakistan for its role in capturing the mastermind behind the ISIS-K attack at the Kabul airport in 2021, which resulted in the tragic loss of 13 American soldiers during the withdrawal from Afghanistan under the Biden administration.

“Three and a half years ago, ISIS terrorists killed 13 American service members and countless others in the Abbey Gate bombing,” Trump said during his speech to a joint session of Congress.
“Tonight, I am pleased to announce that we have just apprehended the top terrorist responsible for that atrocity,” the president revealed. “And he is right now on his way here to face the swift sword of American justice.”

Trump expressed gratitude to the Pakistani authorities for their role in capturing the “monster,” calling it “a significant day” for Gold Star families impacted by the attack.

“I want to thank especially the government of Pakistan for helping us arrest this monster. This was a very momentous day for those 13 families who I actually got to know very well, most of them whose children were murdered and the many people that were so badly, over 42 people, so badly injured on that fateful day in Afghanistan. What a horrible day,” he added.

In his speech, Trump declared that the United States will revive its shipping industry, focusing on both commercial and military shipbuilding initiatives.

He stated, “In order to strengthen our defense industrial base, we are committed to revitalizing the American shipbuilding sector, encompassing both commercial and military vessels. To support this initiative, I am excited to announce the establishment of a new White House office dedicated to shipbuilding, along with the introduction of special tax incentives aimed at bringing this vital industry back to American shores.”

He blamed Biden’s administration responsible for the economic crisis and soaring inflation in the United States. He pointed out that the country is experiencing its highest inflation rate in 47 years and emphasized his commitment to battling these challenges daily in order to “restore America’s greatness.”

Trump said, “As you know, we inherited from the last administration an economic catastrophe and an inflation nightmare. Their policies drove up energy prices, pushed up grocery costs and drove the necessities of life out of reach for millions and millions of Americans. We never had anything like it. We suffered the worst inflation in 48 years but perhaps of our history, they are not sure. As President, I am fighting everyday to reverse this damage and make America affordable again.”
