US President Donald Trump announced that a UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) event will be held at the White House on June 14, 2026, to celebrate his 80th birthday. He made this announcement during a speech at Naval Station Norfolk for the US Navy’s 250th anniversary.
Trump has a close relationship with UFC president Dana White and considers UFC fans among his strongest political supporters.
In July, Trump had indicated that a UFC event would take place at the White House, but no date was provided until now. Dana White confirmed that the UFC will spend $7 million to restore the South Lawn’s grass after the event.
Trump has attended multiple UFC events since becoming president, including one in New Jersey in June. He has been linked to the UFC since 2000 when the Trump Taj Mahal hosted some of its fights. The UFC’s parent company, TKO Group Holdings, has not yet commented on the announcement.
