Trump’s travel restrictions draw UN’s ire

NEW YORK: United Nations too has criticized US President Donald Trump for slapping a ban on procurement of new visa. Meanwhile, a protest rally against Trump was also held in Chicago.

The spokesman of UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has said that that Trump’s new travel policy has increased the difficulties of the migrants who need support after being forced to leave their homes due to war, violence and other such reasons.

Meanwhile, Iraq Foreign Minister Ibrahim-ul-Jafri has welcomed lifting of travel restriction on his country by Trump. Hoping that travel restriction on the six other countries would also be lifted soon he said that there should be no such restriction in a democratic state like America.

Sudan and Somalia called Trump’s travel restriction devoid of reason say in a statement issued on Tuesday.

According to the presidential order issued by US President Donald Trump a 120-day travel restriction will be imposed on refugees from March 16.
