Trying To Unify Curriculum Across The Country: Shafqat Mahmood

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood has said that the decision regarding schools will be taken in the meeting next week.

The federal minister was addressing the future summit in a private hotel as a chief guest in Karachi where he clarified that no compromise will be made on the health of children.

Shafqat Mehmood said that it was proposed during the meeting to either reduce the syllabus, end the summer vacations or extend the academic year but there would be no compromise on the health of the children.

The Education Minister said that efforts were being made to unify the curriculum across the country. The system of local government is ready, will be implemented soon.

Adviser on Finance Hafeez Sheikh has said the government is pursuing policies to ensure a sustainable economic prosperity.

Addressing the conference via video link on Wednesday, he said the country’s economy is on positive trajectory regardless of COVID-19. He said the government gave an economic stimulus package to support the industries and poor segments of the society.

The Adviser said the package to the construction industry has accelerated economic activities in the country.

Hafeez Sheikh said the government took difficult decisions to ensure fiscal discipline. He said we have cut expenditures and no supplementary grants have been given to the ministries.
