ANKARA: Twelve people, including eleven teen girl students, were killed and another 22 were injured in a fire that erupted at a girls hostel in the southern Turkish province of Adana yesterday.
The dormitory housed middle and high school students. Electrical fault could had sparked the fire.
A woman who worked at the dormitory is among among the dead.
The dormitory housed girl students hailing from poor families living in nearby villages that have no schools.
