Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan left for homeland

ISLAMABAD: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan left for his homeland after a tow-day visit to Pakistan.           

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, First Lady Begum Kulsoom Nawaz, Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Defence Minister Khawaj Muhammad Asif and other high officials were present at the Allama Iqbal International Airport to see Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan off.

Earlier, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif organized a sumptuous dinner in honour of the distinguished guest. After having the dinner, Recep Tayyip Erdogan inaugurated the Greater Iqbal Park in Lahore. While Punjab government changed the name of Azadi Chowk flyover and named it after Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Turkey and Pakistan signed agreement to increase cooperation in health sector.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan also addressed the joint session of the parliament. Armed forces head, high-ups of civil and military leadership were present in the joint session. While Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) boycott the joint session.
